Yes, I sing in the shower… and on the street and in my head and sometimes I’ll belt out a tune on the subway platform when the noisy train is arriving so that my melody blends in with the oncoming clamour of the train. But, whenever I’ve tried to sing a FULL song, there were always parts of it that I couldn’t sing as well or I’d crack on the high notes or forget the lyrics.
Introducing CreationSongs: sing the best parts and and sing them proud. I tried soooo hard to learn piano and just couldn’t get good enough for myself. I know there is some undiagnosed learning disability and lack of mathematical patterns that my brian couldn’t grasp on the ivory keys. I did play flute starting in grade five even though I so wanted to play the clarinet and so did the rest of the band and the music teacher determined that I had “good lips” for the flute. I continued to play in the band even into high school but changed to the oboe in grade ten and really did have good lips for the double reeded instrument that sounded like a duck.
To be continued…
